I worked on several aspects of this project, from the design of the logo, some pieces for social media and even the development of the website. NDB is the company name of one of my oldest clients, from which I had the pleasure of making an updated version of all their digital communication.
My longtime client, owner of the NDB brand, just asked me to update the layout of his website. So when I looked at their site at the time, I realized that the problem was more in the way they were dealing with branding than with the layout of the site. I met with this client and soon after I convinced him to do a total rebrand job, from the logo, the voice of the brand and finally, the website!
The process was much more focused on branding than UX. I asked my client what he would like to spend with his brand and I also saw how some of his competitors were putting themselves in the market. My client would like to get a more daring, potentially younger and willing to innovate clientele, given that, I wrote these concepts down on Post-Its and started to group them together. After a long review, I came up with the brand's main slogan "We think outside the box", and it was the one that gave way to the rest. The brand's logo and voice were made to express this idea, always talking about innovation, creativity and daring. For the website, I created an animation that precisely shows the main phrase of the brand coming out of a minimalist box, to show the weight that the company gives to this concept.
The biggest challenge was working in the branding area, which is not my comfort zone within design, however, seeing the scope of the project, I soon realized that this was the biggest problem I needed to solve. The customer was satisfied and commented to me that he had never connected with the brand itself as he had connected now, after the rebrand, which I take as a sign of success.
